Amethyst - Color of Nobility

I have some Amethyst rings to share with you. Amethyst is quartz, which comes in purple hues. You will sometimes see the term green amethyst, which is green quartz. The depth of the color ranges from light to deep purple and the best quality is produced out of Brazil. I have two Amethyst rings I just acquired. Both are set in sterling silver. The bottom picture is a sterling amethyst ring measureing 19 x 15 cm. It is bezel set and the setting is .925 silver (sterling). The ring is a size 8 and is priced at $14.95

The top picture is an amethyst sterling ring with a 27.70 carat stone. The ring size is 7, and the stone measures19.5 x 19.8 x 11 cm. The prices of this ring is $57.95.

If you are interested in either ring, or have a jewelry need, please shoot me a note at....

Diamonds, Rubies, Saphires, Emeralds

Since the beginning of time man has cherished the finer things in life. This includes jewelry of all makes and types. I am asked often to look at someone's jewelry and determine value and such. Having worked in a fine jewelry store, and being out and about to auctions, estate sales, and trade shows...I can say that the public's general knowledge of gems is not that sophisticated. Did you know that Saphires come in all colors including red (which is a Ruby). Amethyst is a quartz in the shade of purple. Are diamonds rare? .....yes and no. Fine emeralds are rarer than diamonds. Should you ever have a need for an unbiased opinion of your jewelry, or are looking for a stone or setting to add to your jewelry line...shoot me a note.
